Peter’s Background
Peter Erin comes to Interchange with truly unique experiences in several facets of modern finance. His deep interest in mathematics and economics made a career in finance a logical choice for his future.
He started his career at Wilshire Associates as an advisor to institutional clients on asset allocation and investment manager selection. At Innovation Works, he helped entrepreneurs secure early financing and developed capital funding strategies for portfolio companies. He also served as a board observer.
Peter worked in Consultant Relations at MSCI, collaborating with global investment consultants to structure equity allocations and integrate factor investing and ESG frameworks. Perhaps the most valuable asset Peter brings to Interchange Capital Partners is his interdisciplinary vision. His perspective is informed by his experience working with various asset classes, investor types, and market segments. With his diverse background, Peter has a strong grasp of the various challenges family business owners face. Whether he’s working with early-stage capital, setting up complex ownership transitions, or managing multi-generational wealth, Peter’s skills and resources are an invaluable addition to our firm.
His primary focus is on guiding family business owners through changes in ownership, liquidity strategies, and estate and trust planning. Peter also finds prospective clients, conducts deep research on trust structures, and provides tax-efficient estate planning. He’ll help family-owned businesses navigate complex dynamics and issues, giving them a competitive financial edge.
He works alongside other firm members to refine Interchange’s all-encompassing advisory framework. He’ll help clients explore strategies designed to preserve and grow wealth that can span future generations.
Peter shares, “The most rewarding aspect of my work is partnering with founders and family businesses to solve complex challenges at the intersection of their businesses and investments.”
